El-Maarouf University Hospital Center / Major works should start after the arrival of cranes
The construction work of the University Hospital (Chu) El Maarouf will have to know a boost after the arrival of cranes, supposed to lift huge blocks of concrete and other heavy loads. The architect and infrastructure coordinator, Moussa Dada, is reassured as to the new dimension that the site should take. The Chinese company (Csyic) has promised to deliver the keys in 36 months.
On the site of the future Chu El Maarouf, the decor is quite different on Monday morning. The pile of stones and sands piled up on the site give way to enormous tower cranes overlooking the sky. These long-awaited machines are the starting point for major work on this flagship government project.
“As I said in my previous speeches with the press, this project will certainly require cranes. That’s what you see here today. These cranes will be used to lift heavy materials to the five floors of the building. The two cranes as you see are already installed. The largest of the three, which consists of lifting loads that are much heavier than the others, is about to be installed, “said Moussa Dada.
The Infrastructure Coordinator informed that underground excavation work has also come to an end. “Now the construction will be able to start including the foundations,” he added, looking relaxed. He will indicate that “as the project progresses, the need for labor will necessarily be felt”. He will estimate that the demand for immediate labor is to more than 200 workers.
